Job summary

Alliedonesource in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking a Data Center Support Technician to help ensure uptime of our modern facilities. You will support colocation clients, perform equipment checks, and assist with deployments and rack-and-stack tasks.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least two years in data centers or relevant tech, plus strong customer service and troubleshooting skills. A safety-first approach and proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Suite are required; shift

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; 2 years in data centers or a related technical field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of data center cooling and power systems is a plus.
  • 2 years of experience in customer service, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite, with a commitment to maintaining a safety-first approach in all tasks and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM; rotating on-call schedule every 3-4 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer support to both local and international colocation clients, handling requests via a web-based ticketing system for services like access requests, equipment troubleshooting, and order processing.
  • Perform regular facility walkthroughs, inspecting critical electrical and mechanical equipment, and logging readings to ensure proper operation and facility conditions.
  • Support customer deployments and facility expansions, including executing sales orders, preparing new customer environments, and assisting with rack & stack tasks.
  • Assist with physical security monitoring, managing access control, and handling client deliveries, including receiving, storing, and shipping packages.
  • Maintain detailed records of all facility activities, including incident logs, inventory management, and maintenance events, while ensuring professional, ethical interactions with customers, contractors, and colleagues.
