Job summary

Equiliem is seeking experienced Structured Cable Technicians II to support large-scale data center infrastructure projects in Erlanger, KY. The role involves installing, routing, terminating, and organizing structured cabling, with work at heights of 30-40 feet using scissor lifts.

Experience with CAT5/CAT6 terminations and J-hook installation is preferred. This contract-to-hire position offers long-term opportunities for skilled technicians in telecommunications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in structured cabling and low-voltage installation.
• Experience terminating CAT5/CAT6 cables.
• Experience installing structured cabling components (J-hooks, pathways).
• Fiber optic installation/termination experience preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
• Comfort working at heights 30–40 ft.

Responsibilities

• Install, pull, route, and terminate structured cabling in large-scale data centers.
• Terminate CAT5/CAT6 cables per standards and specs.
• Install J-hooks, cable supports, and pathways.
• Organize, secure, label cables, ensuring proper management.
• Work at heights of 30–40 feet using scissor lifts with safety gear.
• Assist with fiber optic installation/ routing as needed.
• Use hand/power tools and termination equipment to complete tasks.
• Follow drawings and supervisor directions; ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate to meet project schedules and productivity.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment following PPE procedures.
