Data Center Structured Cabling Group-Senior Scheduler

SUMMARY :

Mortenson's Data Center Structured Cabling Group is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Scheduler with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This individual will perform routine oversight of all planning and scheduling activities.

Locations : LA, WI, AZ, TX or Possibly working remote with travel .

Travel : 25 to 50%

RESPONISBILITIES :

Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities

  • Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities
  • Ensure that corporate planning and schedule stands are implemented and that all project related activities comply

Provide oversight and supervision of scheduling team

  • Coach, mentor, and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents
  • Establish and nurture teamwork environment
  • Ensure crews have resources and support
  • Provide work direction and performance evaluations
  • Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if needed
  • Develop leadership potential through appropriate task assignments and career growth opportunities
  • Implement Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at project site
  • Manage open shop and union issues

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field
  • Minimum of six (6) years of construction experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software such as P6 (Primavera)
  • Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing
  • Shown ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems on complex projects
  • Strong plan and specification reading, review and interpretation skills
  • Basic knowledge of project management, contracts, and buyout
  • Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies
  • Strong organization and team skills
  • Basic knowledge of cost and resource loaded schedules
  • Basic knowledge of claims avoidance and resolution techniques
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions
  • Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Ability to travel may be required based on operating group
  • Current driver's license

The base compensation range for this role is : $97,600 - $146,400 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations : Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%)

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
