CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Electric Distribution Planner II to join our Power & Manufacturing – Electric Distribution Team, working remotely from home in the Houston, TX area.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA’s distribution design engineers plan, design, and permit sustainable electric distribution infrastructure and utility systems. They optimize system functions to improve energy delivery and grid resilience. The Electric Distribution Planner II will work independently, gaining understanding of GIS design systems, construction standards, and project design, with guidance from senior planners. Candidates should be motivated, eager to learn, collaborative, tech-savvy, and able to manage their time effectively.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 2 years of experience, preferably with electric distribution grids
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
• Experience with AutoCAD, GIS, Distribution Design Studio, and Work Management Systems
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Salary Range

$28.36 - $33.65, based on experience and qualifications.
