Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join our global New Product Development team, focusing on data center infrastructure systems. You will develop innovative, sustainable, and functional structural designs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet the growing needs of next-generation data centers.

You will prepare 3D models, perform calculations, and produce workshop drawings and specs while applying relevant standards. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• PE license is optional.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical/structural engineering experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of local and national building codes.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of structural design for modular steel buildings.
• Prepare structural 3D models, calculations, and workshop drawings/specs.
• Apply international, national, and internal standards for safe, compliant designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Review workshop documentation and supplier RFQs.
• Specify materials, services, and certifications for project execution.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and assembly.
• Collaborate with site managers and manufacturing to resolve issues.
