Sundt Enterprise in Texas is seeking a Startup Manager to oversee commissioning, startup, testing, client turnover and initial operation to meet project objectives. You will lead safety, quality, schedule, staffing, and field procurement; develop pre-commissioning tests; build startup milestones; coordinate startup staff; ensure safe plant operations under startup conditions; and report design changes.

• There are 3 steps for this position based on years of demonstrated experience at turnover, pre- commissioning, commissioning, and/or start up within the construction industry: Step I: 5-10 yrs, Step II: 10-15 yrs, Step Sr.: 15+ yrs

Responsibilities

• Leads the overall safety, quality, schedule, commissioning, staffing, material control and field-based procurement for the startup and commissioning process.
• Plans, implements and directs pre-commissioning testing programs and start-up procedures on projects.
• Responsible for developing startup schedule and milestones for incorporation into project schedule to assist project team in ensuring a successful overall schedule completion.
• Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating all assignments for start-up staff.
• Responsible for the safe startup and plant operations activities including equipment and system checkout, inspection for proper installation, review for correct design and evaluation of expected system and equipment operation parameters under temporary start up conditions.
• Reviews design changes and provide reports to engineering liaison to assist in design change preparation.
