Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Start-Up/Commissioning Lead to oversee start-up, energisation, commissioning and inspection for data centre projects within a global engineering context. You will develop plans and execute documentation for black utilities and HVAC systems, coordinating with OEMs and construction teams.

You will apply GMP and GDP principles, lead cross-disciplinary teams, and travel as needed to client sites.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
5-14 years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in the data centre and/or life sciences industry.
Understanding of GMPs and GDPs.
Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel.
Flexibility and willingness to travel and work at various clients' locations.
Ability to work with diverse, multi-disciplined groups.
Strong communication with management and project teams.
Ability to negotiate with team members to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

Develop Start-Up and Commissioning Plan and execution strategies.
Lead the team in Developing System Start-Up and Commissioning Plans for black utility and HVAC systems.
Generate and execute Start-Up and Commissioning documents per GDPs.
Startup equipment safely and effectively.
Coordinate with OEM service technicians as needed.
Coordinate with construction management firms as needed.
