Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Start-Up/Commissioning Lead to join our team, focusing on commissioning and start-up services for the data centre sector. You will develop plans, oversee ignition, energisation and visual inspections of facilities, and coordinate with OEM techs and construction managers.

This role requires collaboration, problem-solving, and 5–14 years of Start-Up/Commissioning experience. The position supports a hybrid work arrangement and travel to client sites across our engagements.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 5-14 years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in the data centre and/or life sciences industry.
• Understanding of GMPs and GDPs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel.
• Flexibility to travel to client locations and collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop Start-Up and Commissioning Plan and execution strategies.
• Lead the team in Developing System Start-Up and Commissioning Plans for black utilities and HVAC systems.
• Lead the team in Generating and executing Start-Up and Commissioning documents according to GDPs.
• Startup equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Facilitate meetings for the start-up Team and maintain action item lists.
• Coordinate with OEM Service technicians and construction management as needed.
• Apply engineering knowledge of HVAC, black utilities, instrumentation, controls, and automation.
