Job summary

SLB New Energy & Industrial in Houston is seeking a Purchasing/Sourcing Specialist to manage RFQ/RFP processes and supplier negotiations. You will use SAP, Ariba, and Excel to track projects, evaluate suppliers, and secure favorable terms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery, cost objectives, and supply continuity across portfolios while upholding SLB supplier agreements and US employment requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required or preferred with 2+ years in purchasing/sourcing.
• Demonstrated commitment to positive change within the supply chain organization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Lean/Six Sigma mindset or continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQ, RFI, and RFP requests in the system as directed by supply chain leadership.
• Generate sourcing projects and track in SAP, Ariba and Excel.
• Identify best-fit suppliers for RFQ tendering processes.
• Ensure RFQ/I/P are created per company terms and conditions.
• Track outstanding requests by project and transmit supporting documents.
• Negotiate prices and terms to meet quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with Sourcing Leader and Contract Legal teams on contract development.
• Support supply continuity for portfolios through cross-functional collaboration.
