Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Sr. Category Sourcing Manager – Data Center to lead end-to-end sourcing for mission-critical data center equipment and expansion programs.

You will run competitive events (RFPs/RFQs/RFIs) and partner with cross-functional teams to drive cost savings, lead-time reduction, and risk mitigation. You will develop category strategies with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Legal, while qualifying and onboarding suppliers and delivering data-driven

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, with proven experience managing complex RFx processes.
• Proficient in developing SOPs, gathering savings metrics, and creating data-driven reports in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and present to executives.
• Direct experience in a data center or infrastructure service provider environment is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Strategic Sourcing & RFx Events: Plan, execute, and manage competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) for data center construction and expansion.
• Drive Category Strategy & Workflows: Develop and improve regional/global category strategies with a focus on cycle-time reduction.
• Align Cross-Functionally: Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, Finance, and Legal to align sourcing with budgets and timelines.
• Manage Supplier Qualification & Metrics: Identify, qualify, onboard new suppliers; track cost savings/avoidance; provide data-driven leadership reports.
