Job summary

Midea America Corp. is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to provide pre-sales technical support for data center accounts and to work closely with account teams on major projects and opportunities.

The role requires expertise in data center cooling systems, ability to analyze customer requirements, and coordination with product, R&D, delivery, and after-sales teams. English communication and willingness to travel internationally are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years of technical support experience in data centers, HVAC, or related industries.
• Familiarity with data center cooling architectures (air, water, liquid, free cooling).

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support for overseas data center accounts and collaborate with KAMs on major projects and opportunities.
• Analyze customer requirements and support technical communication, solution matching, product selection, and clarifications.
• Support primary-side and secondary-side cooling products (chillers, air-cooled solutions, liquid cooling CDUs, fan walls, precision air conditioning).
• Participate in customer presentations, bid support, and technical coordination with consultants and EPC partners.
• Understand core data center requirements (power density, redundancy, energy efficiency, liquid/air cooling ratio, reliability) to develop customer-facing solutions.
• Coordinate with product, R&D, delivery, and after-sales teams to ensure smooth pre-sales through project execution.
• Summarize standard solutions and competitor information to support platform business expansion.
