Job summary

Sprout in Charlotte, NC-based global IT hardware retirement provider seeks a seasoned Solutions Engineer to partner with Sales Reps, act as the technical solution expert on client calls, and tailor presentations to each prospective data center environment.

You will design end-to-end ITAD solutions, advise on logistics, data wipe and destruction methodologies, respond to RFPs, and collaborate with operations and engineering to ensure proposals are deliverable and priced appropriately.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a technology services company, OEM, or VAR.
• Hands-on data center hardware experience.
• Experience with EOL spares capacity management and parts harvesting.
• Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales Representatives as the technical solution expert.
• Tailor presentations, proposals, and decks to client data centers.
• Deliver presentations and articulate Sprout's capabilities.
• Design solutions covering decommissioning, spares, and RMA management.
• Advise on logistics for ITAD and spares including chain of custody.
• Provide expertise on server install, TPM break/fix, and data wipe methods.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs with compelling content.
• Build relationships with client stakeholders to support deals.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and delivery to ensure deliverability and pricing.
• Stay current on industry trends and data center lifecycle standards.
