Job summary

Vultr is seeking a highly skilled Site Construction Lead to serve as the owner's representative on a live data center construction site in Royse City, TX. The role requires daily site presence, fluency with MEP drawings, and the ability to hold contractors and a landlord accountable.

You will protect schedule, safety, and acceptance quality while documenting progress, coordinating with the landlord and GC, and escalating issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in mission-critical or large commercial construction, in a field or owner's-representative role.
• Comfortable reading MEP and architectural drawings and specifications.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
• Able to operate independently on a site the company does not control.
• Prior experience with hyperscaler clients or colocation projects preferred.
• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.
• Experience with RFI/RFP tracking and change-order documentation on projects valued at $10M+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site walks and verify progress against the build schedule.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings; escalates when landlord/GC response lags.
• Track punch-list items and support acceptance and turnover decisions.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day coordination point with the landlord and GC on a landlord-controlled site.
• Monitor safety compliance and escalates incidents.
• Maintain photo and log documentation and pay-application support that holds up if a delivery dispute follows.
