Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks a Senior General Superintendent to lead field operations on a large-scale project in the Raleigh-Charlotte area. You will supervise a team of superintendents, ensure safety, manage schedule and budget, and deliver quality results on-site every day.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years on $100M+ projects, a BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management, proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams and

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 15+ years of experience on $100+ million commercial/industrial construction project or multiple projects in a superintendent role
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• OSHA 30 certified

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate trade contractors and sub-contractors to ensure high-quality work meeting the project schedule
• Supervise the construction of a large project or multiple projects
• Supervise and develop the project team
• Manage the project budget for general conditions and site services
• Develop, document and communicate the work plan regarding changes in the field
• Maintain understanding of contract documents to coordinate trades and anticipate problems
• Monitor safety performance and enforce safety policies
• Lead contractor meetings and oversee daily reports in Procore
• Communicate schedule status and changes to Project Team and Contractors
• Coordinate and manage jobsite logistics
• Oversee project quality plan and implement changes
• Resolve jurisdictional disputes
• Establish credibility with Owners and trade contractors
