Data Center Segment US Country Lead and Key Account Manager

Reporting to: Business Manager - Commercial

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will develop, implement, and manage the global solutions strategy within the USA, ensuring business growth, increased sales, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with the Electrification local marketing and sales teams and global organizations across all ABB Businesses and EL Business Lines. Additionally, you will manage key and strategic accounts in the US, driving global growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction by coordinating sales activities and resolving specific customer issues.

The work model for this role is remote (#Li-Remote) with an estimated 60% travel. This position contributes to the Electrification business.

Main responsibilities include:
  1. Developing sales strategies for accounts, setting and pursuing sales targets and growth margins for all focused Data Center accounts in the US.
  2. Communicating ABB's value proposition for Data Centers internally and externally, supporting local marketing and sales efforts to enhance perception and visibility in the US data center market.
  3. Coordinating internal and external resources (technical, marketing, advertising) to provide value-added services to accounts.
  4. Selling products, solutions, and services, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for the assigned Business Area.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years in Business Development, Sales Leadership, or Marketing within a technology business, with at least 5 years in Data Center solutions within the territory.
  • Proven ability to develop C-level relationships, translate customer needs into solutions, and create business-aligned strategies.
  • Self-driven, resilient, enthusiastic, inclusive, and tolerant of ambiguity.
  • Experience with AI, and established relationships with key industry players; product experience includes UPS, Switchgear, Switchboards, etc.
  • Legal work authorization for employment in the US.
