Qualifications

• Security devices at data center scale: cameras, readers, controllers, intercoms.
• Test and certify copper and fiber cabling; ensure labels and as‑builts match installed.
• Hands‑on in live data center or other critical facility; fix local issues.
• Read drawings and punch lists; hold contractors to the spec.
• Troubleshoot from device up through the switch: PoE, link, port and VLAN config (DHCP).
• Administer Linux and Windows hosts: imaging, patching, drive replacement, recovery after failed reboot.
• Take over work from an integrator and document gaps.
• Bonus: Enterprise video management and access control platforms; network fundamentals; certifications.

Responsibilities

• Keep the campus’s cameras, readers, door controllers, intercoms, and head‑end servers online; find root causes before hardware replacement.
• Repair on‑site infrastructure: cable runs, failed drives, power supplies, DIMMs, NICs, RAID, and boot issues; maintain as‑built inventory.
• Accept new data centers and expansions; review work against acceptance criteria; assist with commissioning when scheduled.
• Work the remediation queue to targets in the support agreement: device swaps, firmware updates, resets, service requests; accompany external technicians when needed.
• Keep site hardware used by guard force, GSOC and site operations running: badge printers, visitor kiosks, turnstiles, gates.
