Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Development Project Manager (Q-Systems: Security) to lead design, pre-construction and construction activities across multiple data-center projects. You will coordinate with installation contractors, engineering teams, and operations staff to ensure adherence to QTS standards.

The role requires 4–8 years of technology-systems experience, travel up to 50% (2–3 days every other week) and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• 4–8 years of professional experience in technology systems—security, network infrastructure design, or implementation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to interact with leadership and non-engineers.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects on multiple campuses, overseeing design/implementation budgets, schedules, and status reports.
• Review project designs to ensure compliance with QTS system standards and Basis of Design documents.
• Ensure that system installation meets design specifications and quality criteria.
• Oversee commissioning efforts to confirm systems operate in accordance with QTS standards and design documents.
• Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans to achieve time, budget, and quality objectives.
• Continuously update campus master plans to reflect dynamic operational needs.
• Evaluate and level pricing proposals for technology design, construction, and commissioning services.
• Monitor and track project schedules, managing teams to achieve on-time completion.
• Identify and remove schedule or implementation obstacles that hinder project progress.
• Serve as liaison with key QTS stakeholders, representing QTS interests in OAC and low-voltage meetings.
• Collaborate with internal development teams to enhance project management processes and protocols.
• Build relationships with Facility Operations and Technology teams to understand their needs and support facility operations.
