Job summary

Amazon AWS Non-Traditional Environments Security team in the United States, Illinois, Chicago seeks a Security Operations/Program Manager to oversee physical security across multiple data centers in a metro area. Qualifications

• 5+ years of security or law enforcement experience.
• 3+ years of project/program management experience.
• 3+ years of experience identifying security issues and developing mitigation plans.
• 3+ years of experience with video surveillance equipment.
• 2+ years managing security vendors and contractors.
• Certifications such as CPP/PSP/PMP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate security incidents and deliver actionable reports to leadership.
• Design physical security systems for data center builds and expansions.
• Lead vendor negotiations, bid review, and funding package submissions.
• Manage end-to-end security installations from design through commissioning.
• Track and report performance metrics including budget variance and vendor delivery.
• Provide cross-functional coverage across security operations and program management.
• Train and mentor team members on security procedures and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation and travel throughout the Americas up to 50%.
