Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Driving Patrol in Sparks, NV to safeguard clients across tech, media and telecom environments. You will conduct driving patrols, maintain a visible presence and support access awareness with strong customer service and communication.

This full‑time role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work a rotating schedule including evenings and weekends.

• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, and support access control per post instructions.
• Assist with visitor management and provide directions during routine operations and escalated events.

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness with strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon - 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue - 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri - 12:00 PM - 04:00 PM
• Sat - 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun - 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and support access control procedures in accordance with site policies and assigned post instructions.
• Assist with visitor management, directional support, and communication during routine operations and/or escalated events while maintaining professional interactions with all personnel on site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
