Job summary

Cologix is seeking a dependable Data Center Security Guard for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri: 2pm - 12 am) to protect a mission-critical facility. You will verify identities, control access, monitor cameras and alarms, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Responsibilities include patrols, incident documentation, visitor credentialing, and supporting shipping/receiving controls in alignment with procedures. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, access control, surveillance monitoring, or similar operations.
• Ability to follow procedures consistently and stay professional with staff and visitors.
• Willingness to work a 2nd shift, including evenings and weekends, in a 24x7 setting.

Responsibilities

• Verify identities and enforce access for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
• Monitor surveillance, alarms, and fire systems; initiate response per procedures.
• Conduct patrols; document findings and incidents accurately.
• Issue temporary badges; maintain logs and chain-of-custody.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following training and policy.
• Support shipping/receiving at controlled entry points with defined processes.
• Address security tickets and communications promptly and professionally.
• Maintain clean, organized security workspaces and monitoring stations.
• Escalate to Security Leadership as needed per protocol.
