Fermi America is building the largest private power campus in the United States to support AI compute needs, with a fast-track data center delivery approach. We seek an Owner's scheduler to validate contractor schedules, challenge progress, and ensure adherence to contractual milestones across shell, MEP, and commissioning phases.

The role emphasizes independent inspections, risk analysis, and coordination across owners, GCs, and trades to maintain credible schedules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of scheduling experience on construction projects, including data centers.
• Owner's-representative or owner-side experience validating contractor schedules preferred.
• Strong Primavera P6 proficiency — baseline management and multi-schedule integration.
• Command of CPM, schedule risk analysis, and progress measurement techniques.
• Experience validating contractor schedules and enforcing change control.

Responsibilities

• Review/validate contractor Primavera P6 schedules for data center projects, ensuring WBS, logic, durations, and loading.
• Validate the schedule baseline and enforce the contract change process.
• Independently verify updates and progress submissions from contractors.
• Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, and recovery reviews.
• Coordinate long-lead equipment deliveries and commissioning sequencing into the master schedule.
• Produce owner-side schedule deliverables (look-aheads, milestones, S-curves, SPI).
• Manage contractors to meet schedule requirements and ensure credible baselines.
• Coordinate with owner, GC, MEP trades, and commissioning agents to keep schedules current.

Fermi America is building the largest private power campus in the United States to serve the compute demand of artificial intelligence. Project Matador, our flagship development in Carson County, Texas, is planned to scale to approximately 17 GW of generation, comprising roughly 11 GW of natural gas, 5.4 GW of nuclear, and 600 MW of solar. We deliver behind the meter power at a speed and density the incumbent grid cannot match.

Position Summary

Owner's scheduler responsible for coordinating and validating the integrated project schedule for data center construction. This role reviews and challenges contractor-developed schedules, independently verifies progress and forecasts, and ensures contractors maintain their contractual scheduling obligations — rather than building the contractor's schedule — with a focus on the fast-track, MEP-intensive, and commissioning-driven nature of data center delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate contractor Primavera P6 schedules for data center projects, confirming proper WBS, logic, durations, and resource/cost loading across shell, MEP, and commissioning.
• Validate the schedule baseline and enforce the contractual schedule change process.
• Independently verify schedule updates and progress measurement; challenge general contractor and subcontractor submissions.
• Perform independent critical path and float analysis, schedule risk analysis, and what-if/recovery review.
• Coordinate and validate integration of long-lead equipment deliveries and commissioning (Cx / integrated systems testing) into the sequence.
• Produce owner-side schedule deliverables — look-aheads, milestone tracking, S-curves, and SPI — and independent status for leadership and owners.
• Manage contractors to meet contractual schedule requirements (submission cadence, format, and quality) and hold them accountable.
• Coordinate across the owner, general contractor, MEP trades, and commissioning agents to keep the schedule current and credible.
• Produce accurate, complete, and timely schedule information and data that enable senior leadership to make informed decisions on projects.

Requirements

• 3+ years of project scheduling experience on construction projects, including data center or mission-critical facilities.
• Owner's-representative or owner-side experience validating contractor schedules preferred.
• Strong Primavera P6 proficiency — baseline management, resource/cost loading, and multi-schedule integration.
• Command of critical path method (CPM), schedule risk analysis, and progress measurement techniques.
• Experience validating contractor schedules and enforcing schedule change control and contract requirements.
• Familiarity with data center construction — MEP scopes, long-lead equipment, and commissioning sequencing.
• Strong communication skills to present schedule status to leadership and stakeholders.
