Job summary

Cupertino Electric is hiring a Safety Specialist in New Albany, OH to uphold an Incident and Injury Free Culture. The role supports project teams in safety compliance, coaching, and training, reporting to the Regional Safety Manager. Qualifications include OSHA 30, 0–2 years in construction safety, and a valid driver’s license. Multilingual skills are a plus as are additional safety certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 30 Construction required.
• CPR/FA Certified (Trainer preferred).
• STS and STSC certification preferred, along with other safety certifications desired.
• 0–2 years of construction safety experience (electrical safety preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks and log observations.
• Support project-specific corrective action plans to address safety issues.
• Provide feedback to Safety leadership on areas for improvement and recognition.
• Coach employees exhibiting unsafe behaviors and recognize safe performance.
• Assist with job site safety orientations for new employees, as applicable.
• Assist with basic safety training (HazCom, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tag-out).
• Support incident investigations with Project Leadership.
• Assist in facilitating injury/illness case management.
• Raise potential compliance risks to Safety leadership.
• Attend daily safety meetings and evaluate participation and effectiveness.
