Job summary

Adolfson and Peterson Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator for a large data center project near the Alexandria area. You will maintain the safety program, deliver trainings, conduct inspections, and work with Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure compliance on site.

The role emphasizes an Incident and Injury Free culture, OSHA compliance, and effective communication with field teams. Travel may be required; OSHA certifications and First Aid/CPR/AED are valued assets.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years minimum construction safety experience or safety-related degree.
• Experience delivering safety trainings and leading program compliance.
• OSHA 30 and/or OSHA 510 preferred; First Aid/CPR/AED certification beneficial.
• STS-C or ability to obtain within 6 months, travel as needed.
• Knowledge of excavation, trenching, fall protection, confined space, silica, scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AP’s safety program and promote Incident and Injury Free culture.
• Present site safety trainings and orientation for new team members.
• Verify SDS and Health and Safety Manuals on site.
• Conduct safety inspections and coordinate with project team.
• Assist in incident investigations and return-to-work processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and communicate safety policies.
