Job summary

AWS is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to own the health and safety function for its area, focusing on data centers, safety culture, and risk mitigation. You will partner with engineers, security, construction, and HR to implement programs and improve safety practices.

Responsibilities include implementing standards, conducting audits, and developing emergency plans while maintaining accurate records and data insights for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of compliance program management, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing health and safety standards, policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement health and safety standards, policies and practices including safety management systems, training, risk assessments, and applicable safety regulations.
• Conduct health and safety audits of data centers and active construction sites to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and life safety.
• Ensure compliance and implementation of global health and safety programs that exceed regulatory requirements.
• Develop health and safety plans for on-site emergencies, business continuity, and other unique events.
• Maintain adequate safety record keeping and data integrity.
• Perform data trend analysis to support business and safety initiatives with leadership.
