Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an entry-level Data Center Technician to join the Regional Operations Team in Tampa, FL. You will support preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment to sustain mission-critical uptime.

Work closely with the DCT team and participate in training to grow technical skills. You will read and interpret technical documents, assist in commissioning and disaster recovery exercises, and ensure safety and compliance while contributing to

Qualifications

• 1 year of data center experience or equivalent.
• Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience with building automation and critical infrastructure environments.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers.

Responsibilities

• Be on 24x7 facility on-call and maintain 99.999% uptime.
• Read blueprints and technical documents to support operations.
• Drive operational excellence and implement change per SOPs/MOPs.
• Assist in disaster recovery drills and commissioning efforts.
• Maintain AHJ requirements and safe work practices.
• Provide hands-on training to Data Center Technician team.
