Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support data center construction projects in Des Moines, IA. You will plan, inspect, document and organize tasks to promote efficiencies on the site, ensuring work aligns with codes, standards and specifications, and reporting to the Project Manager or QC Manager.

You will schedule and conduct site inspections, prepare test plans, maintain quality records, and help turnover packages.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years construction-related experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• LEAN principles desirable; data center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope and quality requirements; ensure project is constructed accordingly.
• Schedule, conduct and evaluate site inspections and quality monitoring.
• Prepare inspection and test plans; document testing, measurements and inspection reports; maintain quality files.
• Identify and report non-conforming work; track non-conformance logs and assist with related reports.
• Oversee daily construction reports, field observations, punch lists and as-built drawings.
• Stay updated on federal, industry and company standards; educate teams on compliance.
