Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for data center construction in Des Moines, IA. This role ensures site activities meet project codes, standards and specifications through planning, inspection, and documentation on a full-time basis.

You will monitor ongoing work, maintain quality files, and coordinate with project teams to remediate issues while upholding company quality plans and client expectations. Prior data center experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to schedule, conduct and document quality inspections.
• Experience with quality monitoring and reporting on construction sites.
• Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam software.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope, quality requirements and contract documents to ensure construction aligns with standards.
• Schedule and perform site inspections and quality surveillance on ongoing work.
• Prepare inspection/test plans and maintain quality records for turnover to owner.
• Identify non-conforming work and track it through resolution.
• Maintain daily reports, punch lists and as-built documentation.
• Educate teams on compliance requirements and changes.
• Collaborate with safety to identify hazards and mitigation steps.
• Document inspections and punch lists per company policy.
