Job summary

TEK Systems is seeking a QA/QC Technician for on-site audits in Fort Wayne, IN. You will review telecom installations, cabling, rack layouts and dressings, ensuring compliance with standards and project specifications.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in structured cabling, data centre concepts, and strong documentation skills. This contract-to-hire role requires OSHA 10 and willingness to travel to multiple sites on a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• QA/QC auditing mindset with ability to identify risks and non-conformities.
• Experience in structured cabling environments (2+ years).
• Knowledge of data centre concepts including CAT5/6, fibre termination and telecom work.
• Familiarity with industry standards (BICSI, OEM specs, TIA).
• Strong documentation and reporting skills; Excel/Word/PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily QA/QC inspections on data centre sites, focusing on telecom installations and cabling.
• Audit equipment, cabling, rack layouts and dressings for correctness and functionality.
• Document findings using checklists; report non-conformities and risks to QA/QC leadership.
• Recommend corrective actions to improve quality and reduce risk.
• Maintain records and follow up on closes and actions.
