Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Mission Critical team in Chicago, focusing on pricing and running nationwide data center construction projects. This role carries full profit and performance responsibility for projects from design to completion.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or related field (degree required).
3–10 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
Experience leading data center or advanced manufacturing projects preferred.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from preconstruction through closeout.
Collaborate with clients and design team on preliminary concepts and budgets.
Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, reduce costs, and discuss contracts and fees.
Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for all trades and vendors.
Identify opportunities to procure materials and equipment directly when advantageous.
Work with the project superintendent on subcontractor scopes, schedule, and site logistics.
Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, vendors to resolve constructability issues.
Lead weekly on-site meetings to review progress and address challenges with the client.
Track project performance vs budget and prepare pay applications and progress reports.
