ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Mission Critical team in Chicago, IL, focusing on pricing and running data center construction projects nationwide. You will lead preconstruction, budgeting, and coordination with clients, design teams, and subcontractors, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires a BS in engineering/construction management, 2–5 years of PM/estimating

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 2-5 years of construction management/estimating experience.
• Experience leading data center or advanced manufacturing projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review scope, reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
• Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors and vendors to solve constructability / sequencing issues.
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges.
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
• Find ways to make the construction process FUN for clients, subcontractors, and vendors without sacrificing QUALITY or SAFETY.
