Apex Infrastructure Consultants seeks an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead design and construction delivery for complex facilities in the Atlanta region. This role spans planning, design, documents, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage data center projects from planning through closeout.
• Lead design development from basis of design through construction documents.
• Oversee day-to-day construction execution and progress.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, and procurement.
• Track scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality; prepare status reports.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, design changes and their impact on scope and cost.
• Track engineering deliverables, equipment, deliveries, installations, and commissioning milestones.
• Support data hall fit-out including electrical distribution, busway, PDUs, cabling, containment.
• Manage multiple projects or workstreams concurrently.

Apex Infrastructure Consultants is seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead design and/or construction delivery for complex, mission-critical facilities in the Atlanta region.

This role manages projects from early planning and basis-of-design development through construction documents, construction, commissioning, and closeout. Candidates with a strong background on the design side, the construction side, or both are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

• Manage data center projects across planning, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Lead design development from basis of design through construction documents, including design reviews and multidisciplinary workshops.
• Oversee day-to-day construction execution and keep work progressing to plan.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, consultants, vendors, and procurement teams.
• Track scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality, and prepare clear status reports for leadership and project stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, design changes, and their impact on scope, schedule, and cost.
• Track engineering deliverables, equipment deliveries, installations, and commissioning milestones.
• Support data hall fit-out, including electrical distribution, busway, PDUs, cabling infrastructure, and containment.
• Manage multiple projects or workstreams at the same time.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of design management, construction management, or engineering project management experience on building or infrastructure projects (not IT, software, or telecom projects).
• Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects, with a strong understanding of building systems, MEP coordination, and construction documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Based in the Atlanta area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center or other mission-critical facility experience (hospitals, labs, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor fabs, power generation, or substations).
• Commissioning experience (Levels 1-5).

Location

Hybrid in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $170,000 to $200,000 per year, based on experience.
