Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a Project Executive to drive profitability and project success across a portfolio of large electrical construction projects. You will lead and mentor project teams, ensure quality and schedule adherence, and manage client relationships from initiation through final delivery.

This senior role requires deep knowledge of contracts, change orders, and risk management, with strong leadership and communication to align stakeholders and meet financial targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years project management experience in electrical construction.
• Understanding of engineering in electric power.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
• Exceptional analytical, motivational, and leadership skills.
• Construction Management or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician's license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive division profitability through effective project execution of multiple sizable projects.
• Develop the organization to achieve excellence through continuous improvement and implement initiatives.
• Manage, mentor, and develop project teams.
• Responsible for work assignments, hiring, promotions and performance appraisal.
• Review contractual requirements for all projects and design methodology.
• Control department activities for adherence to project requirements.
• Develop/oversee project management goals, procurement and contractual requirements, personnel assignments and capacity planning.
• Adjust priorities based on customer needs, resources, and job requirements.
• Interact with customers to validate expectations throughout milestones.
• Provide oversight for third-party construction firms.
• Oversee project review process with emphasis on financial forecasting.
• Communicate challenges, risks and successes proactively and systematically.
• Coordinate with accounting to invoice per project terms and negotiate change orders.
• Coordinate with legal counsel to resolve contract disputes.
• Balance internal and external resource loading.
