Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to support the commercial construction lifecycle and ensure reliability of power, cooling, and cabling systems. You will translate requirements into plans, review submittals, and assist in procurement and contractor supervision.

You will collaborate across teams, monitor progress, and maintain design documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data center engineering, construction, or operations.
• Familiarity with data center design standards and best practices.
• Proficiency in project tools such as AutoCAD or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to design, implement, and commission data center infrastructure projects.
• Translate technical construction requirements into project plans, schematics, and documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Support deployment of power, cooling, and structured cabling systems.
• Participate in capacity planning, risk analysis, and impact assessments for changes.
• Monitor installation progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality control.
• Track milestones, timelines, and budgets with project managers.
• Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Assist in vendor selection, procurement, and contractor supervision.
• Maintain detailed records of system designs, configurations, and installations.
