Job summary

Actalent seeks a Project Engineer to join a major data center construction project in Port Washington, Wisconsin. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to coordinate electrical construction through all project phases.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree and 1–5 years of construction experience, with proficiency in reading drawings, MS Office, and project management tools. Onsite, full-time role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/ electrical/ civil/ mechanical engineering or related field.
• 1-5 years construction experience preferred.
• Internship or project experience with electrical contractors, general contractors, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or data centers is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project management fundamentals.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical construction projects.
• Support procurement activities, including material tracking, equipment releases, and vendor coordination.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, meeting minutes, and cost tracking documentation.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Assist with estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and project cost control.
• Support commissioning, startup, and turnover activities for electrical systems.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on schedule, procurement, and field progress.
• Help ensure compliance with project safety requirements, quality standards, and electrical codes.
• Assist in resolving field issues, design conflicts, and constructability concerns.
