Job summary

Okland Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support quality assurance, construction administration, and coordination on complex projects. You will work closely with subcontractors on a battery plant and other assignments, ensuring documentation is current and aligned with plans.

You will help manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders, while coordinating with the superintendent and project team to track schedule and cost.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years of related experience on commercial construction projects.
General knowledge of LEED principles.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook; experience with document editing software.
Ability to read and understand construction documents and specifications.
Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors and employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

Maintain project documents and drawings using company software (Procore, Prolog).
Manage RFIs and submittals, update logs, and support weekly owner meetings.
Coordinate with superintendent on long-lead procurement items.
Assist in change orders and cost control activities; prepare logs.
Develop and update meeting agendas; record and distribute minutes.
Support QA/QC by verifying installed materials against submittals.
Assist with project closeout and warranty walks.
