Job summary

Okland Construction seeks an experienced MEP Project Manager for a large-scale data center in the Houston, TX area. You will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of MEP construction activities, ensuring critical systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, subcontractor management, and cross-discipline collaboration across engineering and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent construction experience considered.
• 8+ years in commercial/industrial construction with PM responsibilities for mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
• Strong experience managing MEP scopes including HVAC, piping, electrical distribution, and major equipment installations.
• Experience in data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing construction preferred.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, cost forecasting, subcontractors, procurement, and change orders.
• Coordination of complex MEP systems with structural and architectural activities.
• Solid understanding of scheduling, BIM coordination, quality control, safety, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of MEP construction scopes (HVAC, piping, electrical)
• Coordinate with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and design teams to meet specifications, quality, and schedules
• Manage RFIs, submittals, design coordination, and BIM to resolve constructability issues
• Lead project coordination meetings and liaise with owners, engineers, vendors, and trades to address challenges
