Job summary

Google is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to lead the end-to-end design, development, construction, and commissioning of large-scale data center facilities. You will drive complex technical infrastructure projects across multiple builds, overseeing computer farms, networking systems, AC/DC power distribution, and advanced cooling technologies.

  • Be responsible for gathering internal requirements and delivering solutions that satisfy customer needs.
  • Maintain end-to-end responsibility from construction to deployment.
  • Resolve highly critical issues within matrix organization while maintaining rigorous adherence to project timelines and costs.

Job description

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience with data center equipment/environments, including electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems and fire safety systems.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Construction Management or related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data center equipment/environments, electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems and fire safety systems.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling and achieving objectives within set goals.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, including knowledge of fast track design build processes and associated documents and contracts.
  • Understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry and start up/commissioning processes.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
