Job summary

Worldwide Mission Critical is seeking a Data Center Preconstruction Manager to lead GC procurement, cost management, and preconstruction oversight for mission-critical data center projects. You will drive RFP development, bid analysis, and GC selections, while coordinating with design and estimating teams to align procurement with budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in preconstruction, GC procurement, cost management, or estimating in data center or mission-critical markets.
• Experience leading GC and trade partner procurement processes, including RFP development and award recommendations.
• Strong understanding of GMP, CM-at-Risk, and Design-Build procurement methods.
• Experience establishing deliverable frameworks for cost trending, risk management, and schedule management.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Project, and cost management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and recommend procurement strategies for GC and trade partner selection based on project requirements.
• Lead RFP development, bid leveling, evaluation, and GC selection.
• Oversee preconstruction deliverables, including cost trends, risk registers, and schedules.
• Coordinate with design, estimating, and project management teams to align procurement status with budgets.
• Conduct constructability reviews and collaborate on value engineering solutions.
• Travel to project sites for pre-bid walks, kick-off meetings, and milestones.
