Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced energy professional to support development of cost-effective energy solutions for its data center fleet. You will influence energy infrastructure strategies, interconnection and agreements, and drive relationships with internal and external partners.

The role requires management of complex projects, strong negotiation acumen, and travel up to 25%. A related Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience with a utility, energy project developer, design/consulting firm, construction firm or energy-intensive sector.
• Working knowledge of transmission, distribution and utility interconnection processes.
• Experience with project development and management for large-scale projects.
• Strong multi-project management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience communicating project status to technical and non-technical stakeholders; ability to build partnerships.
• Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint or Keynote skills.

Responsibilities

• Support creation and execution of energy infrastructure strategies for Meta’s data centers.
• Establish and communicate energy requirements to stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations for energy infrastructure agreements; obtain leadership approval.
• Manage due diligence, site development, construction, and commercial processes.
• Coordinate between utility partners, internal teams, and consultants with autonomy.
• Analyze capacity planning and present scenarios to maximize options while balancing needs.
• Deliver new commercial agreements enabling capacity and fungible options.
• Build and maintain relationships with site selection, design, construction, operations, legal and finance teams.
• Identify and drive process improvements to save time and costs.
• Lead ad-hoc energy initiatives and deliver value to the organization.
• Identify evolving requirements in the data center development process and escalate risks as needed.
• Travel domestically up to 25%.
