Job summary

Meade, a full-service design firm, seeks an Electrical Commissioning Tech to commission data center electrical equipment for a world-class technology company. This role will support commissioning of power generation and distribution systems, UPS, ATS, PDUs, medium-voltage switchgear, protective relays, and related electrical infrastructure, requiring strong communication and leadership with 100% travel.

Minimum qualifications include 2+ years in data centers, a BS in Electrical Engineering

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience with a strong emphasis in data centers preferred.
• Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering is preferred but will consider other engineering disciplines, two (2) year degree, military training, or equivalent work experience.
• Passion for leading in moments of ambiguity, particularly in construction and electrical operational problems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Top-notch organization and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office products is critical.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and multi-task.
• Working knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards.
• Experience conducting quality control of electrical construction documents.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD. Bluebeam experience a plus.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing, overseeing, and writing commissioning policies, scripts and procedures.
• Validate equipment installations.
• Perform construction observations and develop thorough test plans.
• Execute tests for a wide variety of electrical and mechanical systems and ensure testing is performed in conformance with standards and specifications.
• Review and analyze data and prepare technical reports.
• Review design documents and equipment submittals.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and other project team members.
