Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Pipefitter/Welder for a large data center construction project in Atlanta, GA. The role involves layout, installation, and welding of 6-inch Schedule 80 steel piping, along with Victaulic systems, hangers, and valves.

You will read drawings, follow project plans, and work with multidisciplinary teams on a heavy industrial site. OSHA 10 and journeyman-level experience are valued for this permanent position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in pipefitting or welding 6-inch Schedule 80 steel pipe.
• Able to read blueprints and project plans.
• Journeyman-level pipefitting or plumbing preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout and installation of piping systems for a data center construction project.
• Install pipe hangers, supports, valves, and related hardware per specs.
• Work with Victaulic piping systems using bolted coupling methods.
• Assemble and install steel piping with mechanical couplings and tools.
• Identify and install pipe fittings and components from drawings.
• Assist with material take-offs identifying required pipe, fittings, and hardware.
• Interpret project plans and installation standards for correct configurations.
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure safe, efficient installation.
• If applicable, weld 6-inch Schedule 80 steel pipe per safety standards.
