Job summary

MACOM is seeking a Product Line Manager to lead semiconductor product lines for rapidly evolving AI and cloud data center markets, including laser drivers, TIA, CDR, and copper equalizers for optical and copper connectivity.

The PLM will translate market needs into product definitions, establish go-to-market strategies, and drive revenue forecasting and product line P&L. You will collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations, with travel often required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree required; MBA a plus.
• 5+ years related semiconductor product management, marketing and/or applications engineering experience.
• System level experience with Networking technologies (Laser Drivers, TIAs, DSPs, Equalizers).
• Knowledge of analog and mixed signal circuitry a plus.
• Able to work in and foster a teamwork environment with a demonstrated ability to coordinate activities across multiple functional areas.
• Must be an effective communicator with the ability to interface at all levels within the organization, possessing a thorough command of the English language, written as well as verbal.
• Willing to travel over 20% of time including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage P&L of semiconductor products targeted for optical and copper connectivity in data center applications.
• Define next generation products (specs, features, etc.) based on future customer needs, competitive analysis, and market trends.
• Assess market trends and market sizing (TAM/SAM).
• Work closely with sales, visit key customers to understand their challenges/needs and promote new products.
• Collaborate with R&D and operations through design phase until production release.
