Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Aurora, CO is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Infrastructure Operations team.

This role requires US citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and involves hands-on work with servers, networking, and power/cooling systems in a data center environment. You will perform capacity planning, rack deployment, cabling, hardware/software troubleshooting, and may work night shifts or weekends to support 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A+ or CND or Network+ or Security+ certifications considered.
• 2+ years of server hardware experience.
• 1+ years UNIX/Linux experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in physical data center activities including capacity planning, rack deployment, cabling, hardware/software troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues applying IT principles to resolve problems.
• Take ownership of technical issues and drive resolution with cross-team collaboration.
• Support 24/7 operations; shifts may include nights, weekends, holidays.
• Work in a noisy environment and perform physically demanding tasks up to 8+ hours per day.
