Job summary

Core Scientific, Inc. in Auburn, AL seeks a Data Center Technician to monitor power, cooling, and environmental conditions in our data center. You will act as a first responder to incidents, manage workflow for planned and unplanned work, and ensure compliance with safety policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for related degree or technical cert. You will work with CMMS/BMS systems, coordinate preventive maintenance, and communicate clearly with internal teams

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a data center environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution, emergency/standby power, HVAC, and monitoring systems required.
• Ability to read schematics and architectural drawings and write reports.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with English language.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data center power, cooling, and environmental conditions.
• Act as first responder to incidents within the data center envelope.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with CMMS/BMS and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures and PM inspections for accuracy.
• Communicate issues to leadership and ensure timely resolution with contractors.
