Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment across a 24x7 data center environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, ticketing, and supporting customer needs on the Data Center floor, both in person and by phone, with emphasis on safe, compliant operation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical areas.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Apply learning to tasks involving IT, electrical and mechanical equipment, controls, and operating systems.
• Lead and monitor preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment; record readings.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.
• Install and configure hardware and cabling per documentation and procedures.
• Install and repair IT, mechanical, and electrical equipment; assist with major repairs.
• Process work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance; order tools as needed.
• Create/update tickets for customer calls, facility, network, or system alerts.
• Operate and monitor critical and non-critical system equipment for safe operation.
• Respond to building emergencies and customer requests as required.
• Comply with policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Use Change Management to obtain approvals and document maintenance.
