Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical focused Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join AWS Infrastructure Services. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot rack-level and facility systems, and support change management in mission-critical data centers.

You\'ll work with teams across electrical, mechanical, BMS/EPMS, and safety systems to ensure 24/7 reliability and uptime, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to projects from conception to completion

Qualifications

2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Technical writing to support change management.
