Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician in Lithia Springs, GA to help maintain mission-critical facilities and equipment.

The role focuses on ensuring 99.999% uptime across AWS data centers with hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, PMs, and incident resolution. The position requires travel between data center sites as needed, willingness to work long shifts, and collaboration with a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and operations staff.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance.
• Associate's degree or technical degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Create technical documentation to support change management.
• Manage daily work requests from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors per established procedures and local laws.
