Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Hardware Operations Manager to lead a Data Center Technician team and oversee server hardware installations and complex troubleshooting. You will configure and test hardware, and manage evolving networking components and server software within Google's infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will drive operational excellence, coordinate cross-functional teams, and contribute to EHS initiatives across multiple U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
• 2 years of experience managing technical teams, vendor or contract management and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of individuals; set and communicate priorities to support organizational goals.
• Partner with teams to manage facility activities and set/implement strategies.
• Maintain, monitor, and execute security and operational procedures and analyze trends for improvements.
• Repair, fix, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, machines, or infrastructure.
• Support and contribute to the implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and other compliance programs.
