Job summary

ByteDance seeks a Data Center Facility Manager to own operational excellence, reliability, and budget management for key data center sites. You will shift from hands-on troubleshooting to strategic leadership, partnering with cross-functional teams, and overseeing colocation partner governance to ensure peak uptime, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in critical infrastructure operations.
• Deep understanding of data center tiering standards and power/cooling redundancy.
• Experience with MOPs/SOPs/EOPs and RCA for complex failures.
• Familiarity with generators, UPS, chillers, and BMS/EPMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a data center operation team.
• Manage shift planning, resource allocation, and 24/7 coverage.
• Ensure site uptime and strict SLA adherence.
• Govern maintenance programs with colocation partners.
• Oversee RCA/CAPA for critical infrastructure failures.
• Lead quarterly business reviews with vendors and partners.
• Own OpEx budget and CapEx forecasting for sites.
• Enforce safety culture and high-risk MOPs/CEWA compliance.
