Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Data Center Server Operations Manager in Summerville, SC, to lead a team of data center technicians. You will supervise installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of server hardware and components, ensuring safe, reliable operation of Google's physical infrastructure.

Responsibilities include coordinating priorities across shifts, developing teams, and driving safety culture in a large-scale data center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or maintaining hardware servers and its components.
• Experience in site-level data center operational leadership.
• Experience in a people management, supervision, or team leadership role.
• Experience with different operating systems (e.g., Linux) and developing network architecture.
• Must have the ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management of teams within data center operations.
• Communicate priorities and facilitate hand off of operations to following shift leads.
• Work together to identify and resolve problems and create solutions for our global computing and network architecture.
• Hire, coach, and develop a team while achieving business goals.
• Ensure data center-related priorities are consistent with company objectives. Implement and drive the safety culture at the site, while fostering a collaborative team environment.
